I got this system despite some reviews and I'm glad I did. The system is outstanding. I use it with my iPod and the sound is quite amazing and has changed my relationship with songs I had become bored with. Everything sounds better and fresher, even compared to playing it through my standard HiFi. As for the hum mentioned elsewhere it is really small and can't be heard once the music is playing. I guess it could be heard in the middle of the night if you left it on in your bedroom, but it goes when you switch to standby and you have a remote to do this. So, buy this system, it is by far the best iPod playing system around and amazing value.
 

I like the fact that there's no input selector. This system just mixes all inputs at all times, which is very convenient. I think it looks great. But the standby power consumption is 22W according to my measurements. I find that totally unacceptable. In fact the standby power consumption is almost the same as the power consumption when it is switched on, but no music is playing. And the humming annoys me too. It really reduces its value as a stereo replacement.
 

Most sub woofers will give off a slight hum and its down to the transformer inside, if it annoys you that much then turn it off when you're not using it! Well now on to the plus points, its looks terrific, the clarity is second to none, the sub provides plenty of bass (even on its lowest setting) the whole system is sexy as hell and it basically ooooozes quality throughout and last but not least its worth every penny. . . did I mention how great it sounds? Well I did but it was worth mentioning it again as sound quality should be the main reason you want this system anyway! want speakers you can hang on the wall, want amazing sound and wish to hear your music on a whole new level or perhaps all of the above then at least try these out, I can almost guarantee you will not return them if you do buy them.
