I chose this bag based on various reviews on other sites which rated it very highly for space, storage and weight distribution and also dimensions which suggested it would fit my laptop comfortably.
The storage and weight distribution are good, plenty of pockets for stationery and enough room for a couple of A4 binder files (not a lever arch one), however I recommend that you measure your laptop very carefully.
Mine is a Sony Vaio AR51M, measuring just 16.5" across, by 13.5" deep. It is a VERY tight fit. The zipper barely clears the corners of the laptop and the separate inner protective sleeve it advertises isn't anywhere near suitable for a 17" laptop. In order to get any protection you have to remove all of the velcro inner padding from the sleeve (which I don't think would fit a 15.4" laptop) and even then you can't close the zip, so I'd forget all about the pull-out aspect of the inner sleeve all together if you have a 17" machine.
If your laptop is any larger than 16.0" wide by 13.0" deep, look elsewhere. BUT - If you're keen on using the inner sleeve properly, then don't even think about this bag if your machine is more than 12" deep. It simply won't close.

This laptop case has everything I wanted: plenty of space for pens, files folders, notebooks, and computer accessories, and plenty of padding to keep the computer secure. A huge bonus is that the case comes with a removable padded notebook sleeve that can be used as a carrying case when you don't need all your additional gear. The sleeve has its own handles (and attachments for the shoulder strap), so it's extremely functional as a case all on its own.
The only downside is that the case is a little heavier than I'd thought I wanted, but because of the design, the weight isn't particularly noticeable when I carry the laptop case using the shoulder strap, which is comfortable, nicely padded, and doesn't slip off my shoulder. Even using the handles, which are designed better than any others I've seen, the weight isn't too much for me. |

This is the best laptop bag I have ever owned. The padded shoulder strap combined with the way it contours to your body makes carrying even the heaviest laptop comfortable. It has plenty of room for peripherals. The padded mini case inside this laptop is convenient for quick trips where I don't need to carry my power cord and peripherals and it is the only case I found on the market that adequately protected the imprint finish on my 17" dv9000. |
