I can't believe I waited so long to get these speakers for my Gateway laptop. I feel like I have a new computer rather than just new speakers. The volume can be adjusted to where I want it and the clarity is super. The hard sided case they came with is great to house them in my suitcase.
 

I was skeptical about all the positive reviews that these speakers have received. But they've really surprised me. They provide very crisp notes in the mid and upper range. The bass won't shake the floorboards or anything, but it's a big step up from those built-in speakers on your laptop. All in all, these provide excellent sound, especially for their size. The speakers are well designed and well made, too. The traveling case that comes with them is of surprisingly high quality. I'm very pleased with the overall value. One downside: because these are USB speakers, some of the special sound settings (like SRS WOW) may not work in all programs; it seems to depend. Some programs seem to support the USB interface, but not all do. Still, I'll take the simplicity of USB over this minor drawback. It's really nice not to worry about a power adapter and plug. And USB 2.0 provides sufficient power to crank up the volume quite high.
 

These are great for the size, weight, price. Neat little carry case. But, if you want LOUD, these probably won't do it, as they like to dance to loud output.
